Damian Smith does not 'suffer' from Asperger's Syndrome. He likes to think of it as a superpower, but describes it as being akin to “really wanting to pat a cat, but being eternally trapped in a dog's body”.
Damian's show for MICF 2014 is called 'I'm Here All Weak: Ultimate Edition', and in it he discusses the pros and cons of being an Aspie, from what it's like to be high-functioning, to what happens during a meltdown, illustrated along the way with graphs and charts that give a little bit of insight into the mind of someone with Asperger's.
'I'm Here All Weak' is littered with nerdy trivia, hilarious anecdotes, and factually correct jokes about World War II. If you've ever wanted to learn about Asperger's Syndrome and like your facts funny, go and see it. But remember, laughter and applause must go for no more than seven seconds and no less than three.
